Vice President Marketing and Community Engagement - Job Summary
The Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement leads marketing, communication, and branding strategies to support chapter goals and advancement culture while managing the marketing and engagement team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead marketing and communication engagement team through regular communication and performance reviews
- Plan and execute all chapter internal event logistics and manage internal event expenses
- Oversee external event revenue generation
- Create content and write for major chapter initiatives
- Develop and implement chapter marketing strategies and influence communication for internal teams
- Support CEO and senior leadership with writing, speech writing, scripting, and event show flow
- Collaborate with VP of Major Gifts and VP of Advancement on relevant projects
- Lead chapter-wide messaging and brand standard refresh efforts
- Participate in collaborative groups to stay current with storytelling trends
- Lead public-facing communications including press releases, media talking points, and speaker preparation
- Write content for various platforms including emails, donor proposals, and social media
- Monitor chapter reputation in media and social platforms
- Support chapter campaigns alongside Advancement Leadership and marketing teams
- Protect family privacy and confidentiality in public relations efforts
- Represent the chapter in Make-A-Wish America marketing initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of experience in team leadership, strategy, project management, writing, budget monitoring, and relationship building
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Flexibility to travel overnight up to 40% of the time
