Community Manager - Job Summary
The Community Manager will engage and grow the Founders Forum community by managing event communications, curating guest lists, handling CRM databases, analyzing data for growth opportunities, and supporting community operations across the tech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and onboard new community members
- Curate VIP guest lists for premium community events
- Define new community events based on data analysis and audience insights
- Analyze database segments using Salesforce and PowerBI to identify growth opportunities
- Identify and pursue new prospects and VIPs
- Compile invitee and speaker lists from internal and external sources
- Build and manage event registration sites and coordinate invitations and enquiries
- Maintain and update CRM data for accuracy
- Create community-facing event materials such as FAQs and seating plans
- Stay informed on tech, business, and political news to flag potential new members
- Act as community ambassador at events and liaise with VIPs
- Contribute ideas to enhance events and engagement opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in community, events, or relevant roles
- Experience working in events management
- Experience preparing and presenting research, reports, and data-driven insights
- Aptitude for data analysis and curiosity
- Highly proficient with MS Excel and Google Workspace
- Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail
- CRM experience required; Salesforce experience an asset
- Experience with event registration platforms, especially Swoogo, an asset
- Passion for technology, current affairs, politics, innovation, and entrepreneurship
- Skilled in using gen AI tools and MS Excel to optimize processes
- Highly motivated self-starter able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Team player willing to assist colleagues
