Community Manager - Job Summary
The role involves managing online gaming communities and social media interactions remotely, creating content, reporting on community growth, and fostering a positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming community interactions on social media platforms and communicate with players
- Respond to comments and player queries in a timely manner
- Create engaging social media content
- Build reports on community growth and engagement and suggest improvements
- Assist developers by collating and reporting player feedback
- Foster and maintain a safe and welcoming game community environment
- Moderate discussions and comments following community guidelines
- Proactively suggest new ways to grow and support the community
- Create and update corresponding documentation as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in community management or social media in gaming
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bilingualism (English with French, Spanish or German) is a plus
- Passionate about video games and social media
- Strong understanding of social media/community management platforms like Discord, Twitch, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook
- Expertise in social listening and social management best practices
- Experience managing or moderating thriving gaming communities
- Higher education in marketing, business administration, communication, adult education, or related fields
