Manager, Community Engagement & Programming - Job Summary
The Manager of Jewish Experiences advances the mission by developing, implementing, and managing programs that strengthen Jewish identity, foster community connections, and support cultural and educational engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver programs that strengthen Jewish identity and culture across the community.
- Engage community members through outreach, partnerships, and relationship-building.
- Collaborate with synagogues, agencies, and organizations to build shared initiatives.
- Support Israel engagement efforts with educational and cultural programming.
- Partner with marketing to promote programs and outreach campaigns.
- Measure program impact through feedback and evaluation for continuous improvement.
- Assist with budgeting and logistics to ensure well-planned programs.
- Collaborate across departments to support organization-wide initiatives and events.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Jewish practice, ritual, culture, and tradition.
- Proactive self-starter with creativity and strategic vision for engaging Jewish learning.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to foster collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Skilled in building relationships within diverse Jewish communities.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resource allocation.
- Technologically savvy with openness to new engagement tools.
- Familiarity with the Kansas City Jewish community preferred.
- Passion for Jewish living, learning, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
