Retail & Community Manager - Job Summary
Lead the retail team at Mons Royale's Britomart store by delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving store performance, and building strong community connections within Auckland's action sports scene.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, coach and motivate a high-performing team aligned with Mons Royale values
- Lead from the floor at least 60% of the time to set customer service and team culture standards
- Deliver elevated in-store experiences focusing on product presentation, stock control, security, and overall operations
- Ensure visual merchandising and store standards reflect the premium brand image
- Plan and host community activations, events, and partnerships to build brand loyalty
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment prioritizing customer interactions
- Take ownership of sales targets, KPIs, and team productivity, collaborating with the Regional Manager
- Provide regular coaching, training, and development opportunities for the team
- Act as a brand ambassador, embodying and representing Mons Royale's lifestyle and mission
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior retail leadership with a track record of meeting sales targets
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers, teammates, and community partners
- Strategic and hands-on approach comfortable with activation planning and shop floor work
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including POS systems, inventory management, and merchandising
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for the outdoors, sustainability, and aligning with the Mons Royale brand mission
